Do join us in church to welcome Kate. Barbara Doye, our Reader, will be preaching. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online. Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

Parish BBQ HELP REQUIRED!
Three main areas
  1. Do you own a gas BBQ? Do you love BBQing and are available to help on Sunday 7th September? If so Correen would love to hear from you.
  2. We need people who are willing to help with the set up which includes erecting marquees, putting up tables and moving chairs.
  3. At the end of the event could you be part of a team to help clear everything away?
Please speak to Correen directly or email boothroydcm@hotmail.com if you can help in any of these areas. Thank you.

Please click on the flyer to sign up online if you are coming to the BBQ!

Vacancy Prayer Themes for 21st August
  1. Please pray for the unity of the church and its mission to serve the wider community. It is important that the church stays together during this time.
  2. Please pray for support for the paid staff of the church it’s church wardens and PCC who will take over the day to day running of the church. It is important that no one feels overwhelmed or overworked.
  3. Please pray that people will take up more roles and responsibilities, that there will be more volunteers, and the workload will be shared out in larger groups.
  4. Please pray for wisdom and direction for the leadership of the church. Especially the PCC as the put together the Parish Profile and start the process of choosing a new rector
The usual Morning Prayer sessions will continue to run in church (Monday and Tuesday) and on Zoom (Monday – Wednesday).

ACCOMMODATION NEEDED FOR A UKRAINIAN FAMILY
A family of 5 Ukrainians from Wheathampstead have fallen on hard times, their landlord having sold their rented property. Does anyone know of a place they can live, temporarily or permanently (e.g. for a year)? They would like to rent but there is very little available. The youngest daughter is at Beech Hyde. They wanted to rent the Rectory but were unsuccessful in their application. Please contact Jenny Spurgeon if you can help.
