Our Sunday Services


 

We have a variety of services through the month, on Sundays and midweek, and welcome all ages to any of them. Transport can be arranged, particularly for the elderly, who might otherwise find it difficult to get to any of the services. Please contact us if you would like further information.

Traditional 

4th Sunday

6.00pm

Choral Evensong. This is a peace-inducing service in which the ‘song’ of voices sounding together in harmony is heard at the ‘even’ point between the active day and restful night, allowing listeners time for restful contemplation  : 60 minutes.

Mainstream

Sunday

10.00am

Parish Communion (except the 3rd Sunday of each month). The main service at St Helen’s and suitable for all ages. A specially dedicated “children’s corner” where there is a carpet, cushions on the floor and bags of toys to play with, is available for children under the age of 3 in the Lamer Chapel. Older children may wish to move across the church to share a Godly Play story or make usre of a variety of materials and craft resources to help them to reflect on the story. After the service there is the opportunity to meet others over a cup of tea or coffee in the chancel : 1 hour 10 minutes.

Contemporary

1st and 3rd Sundays

3:30pm

Kids Worship.  This is an all-age informal service aimed at family groups and younger members of our congregation [held in St Helen’s Church]: 45 minutes.
