St Helens Church, High Street, Wheathampstead, St Albans, AL4 8AA. Worship Times: 10am every Sunday

Children & Families

Ever wish you had a place where you could really belong?

Are you spiritual but not religious?

Do you like the idea of faith, but aren’t interested in formal services?

tea time CHURCH is an informal gathering, where everyone is welcome. There’s no need to “put on a front”, and all are accepted for who they are.

Our relaxed, café-style gatherings focus on how we can each connect with God. We enjoy exploring how Christian faith makes a difference to our daily life, all whilst chatting over a ‘cuppa’.

This small friendly group is particularly suited to slightly older children and adults. We start with drinks and sit informally round a table,  catching up with news from the week, perhaps colouring or completing a simple craft. There is a ball game available for more active kids. Informal modern worship includes You Tube videos to sing along to, a talk and discussion linking everyday issues to the Bible and Christian perspectives. Whether all-ages stay together or kids/adults have their own separate sessions, everyone enjoys the tea-time treats we share together at the end of our afternoon gatherings!

At the moment Tea Time Church is meeting via Zoom every Sunday 3.30-4.30pm. For a link to join us, please email Linda on 58linda.thomas@gmail.com

On the 1st Sunday of the month, the 3.30 tea-time session is specifically for children and includes a craft, several high energy songs with actions, a bible story (acted out or as a short video), short prayers and tea.
