Email about Children’s Work – The Great Parade

Just in case you have children or grandchildren (or others)
we thought they might like this….

“Where’s that donkey gone?”

As part of our new online way of working we are finding new ways to help Children & Families explore The Bible.

Click here to see our first story The Great Parade and then, below are links to craft ideas and other activities to stuck into (pardon the pun!).

Alternatively families could make up their own ways to act out the story at home! You could ask each other these questions:

  • I wonder what the owner of the donkey thought when the disciples borrowed it?
  • I wonder what the people thought Jesus was going to do in Jerusalem?
  • I wonder what the stones would have said if they could have talked!

We’d love to hear how you are getting on, so please post your comments, suggestions and pictures of your story-related activities to our St Helen’s Church Facebook page (click here).  We’ll be back, very soon, with the story about what Jesus and his friends did next…

God bless you all,
With best wishes and prayers
Richard, Claire and Linda.

to help you get hands on with the story of Jesus riding on a donkey.
Be Happy – Song
to be like the cheering crowd from the story.
Noughts and Crosses Prayer
Print out this email and cut out the grid above or draw your own with people you would like to pray for.  Take it in turns to pray for one of the groups written in the boxes. Once you have prayed for those people you can write your initials or an “X” in that box.  The next person takes a turn to say a prayer for the people in another box and then they write their initials or an “O” in that box.  The aim is to get 3-in-a-line before the other person praying!
