For many years we churchgoers and people of Wheathampstead have been generous in our support of the annual Christian Aid Week appeal.
Coronavirus means that Christian Aid’s support for some of the world’s poorest people is now more important than ever, as these people are confronted by the health and economic effects of the pandemic. Many of them live in crowded communities, with poor hygiene, very limited health facilities and low, often unreliable, incomes. Christian Aid is already working hard to tackle these problems and their work has now become even more urgent.
The COVID-19 epidemic also means that giving to Christian Aid Week is being done differently this year.
- Online through our local Just Giving page here
- By telephone on 020 7523 2269
- By Charities Aid Foundation card through the CAF website
- Set up a regular direct debit online at the Christian Aid website or by telephoning 020 7523 2046
Please use one of these methods rather than sending postal donations, which are much more difficult to handle when staff are working from home.
If you need any more information, please contact Simon Best at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07786 704353.
Thank you for your support for this year’s extraordinary Christian Aid Week appeal.
