SUNDAY’S SERVICES

Join us in St Helen’s Church for our Parish Communion Service at 10am.

If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

Singers Needed!

For our Carols by Candlelight service at 7.00pm on December 17th at St Helen’s we are getting together a choir to lead the singing. Do you sing in a choir and would like to add the harmonies, do you like singing the descants, or do you just enjoy singing carols? All welcome, all ages, Year 5 upwards.

We will be having a sing-through of the carols at 11.15am on Sunday 10th, after the morning service. Please email Linda 58linda.thomas@gmail.com if you would like to join us

Warm Coat Scheme
The Wheathampstead Community Group is running from the foyer of the Memorial Hall, starting Monday 4th Dec  and continuing through December and January, depending on supply and demand. Good quality warm coats for men, women and children are available if you need them.

If you would like to donate your surplus coats, please drop off at the Memorial Hall. Swapping is not necessary.

The WCG would also like to invite everyone to their Christmas Sing-a-long on Thursday 14th of December at 7:30 in the Memorial Hall.

Thank you for your generous donations towards a Christmas lunch for local families.

We would love for 10-20 members of the St Helen’s family to deliver one or two hampers around Wheathampstead on Sat 23rd Dec – many hands make light work!  Please let Helen (07974 762997) know if you would like to volunteer.

There’s plenty of room in our stable
As Christmas approaches we want to make sure we are a very welcoming church. We have extra services and often attract people who do not regularly attend church. Could you help out at an extra service either with welcoming or serving refreshments, maybe as a one off,  even if you don’t usually do this?

We particularly will need extra welcomers at our Carols by Candlelight (17th Dec), Midnight Communion and Christmas morning service. We also need refreshments served at the Carols and if there were some volunteers who would serve coffee on Christmas morning it would be a special gift for those who are alone on Christmas Day.

Please email or text Hilary if you can help out telling me your availability  hj.hollick@gmail.com or on 07712791625. Many thanks
