Don’t miss all the other good stuff!

So that you don’t miss all the other good things in this email, the link to the livestream service is near the bottom of the email! (this time it has the CORRECTED LINK!)

As the UK records over 100,000 deaths due to Coronavirus, please join us in prayer for the nation each day at 6pm.  See the letter from the Archbishops and prayer leaflet from the C of E.

Could you – or someone you know – volunteer to be part of the vaccination campaign? There are five different roles in which volunteers are required – see below for details.

Last, but by no means least, there are opportunities to connect to other church members socially on Zoom at 11am on Sunday and Wednesday.

God bless you – Richard

Be part of this historic effort!

Communities 1st and partners have been busy recruiting volunteers to support the vaccination centres.

Over 2,400 volunteers have now signed up and provided 5,300 hours of support for community vaccination sites in a variety of roles, from stewarding to front of house.

It is expected that a further 3,000-4,000 volunteers will be needed over the coming weeks as more vaccination centres open up.

Anyone who would like to volunteer in a non-clinical role can sign up here: www.communities1st.org.uk/covidsteward

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have encouraged us all to pause and pray at 6pm each day, you can read more about it here in the letter they wrote.

The Church of England has produced a leaflet with prayers for each day of the week.  You can download it here, or pick up a copy from the back of St Helen’s church.

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to, “Love God with all our heart, mind, soul and body.” We show our love for God in our worship. – click here – or on the image below to join our 10am live-stream service. (THIS IS A DIFFERENT LINK TO THE EARLIER EMAIL). Or click here to view it via our website.  This week we welcome Janet, Archdeacon of Hertford as our guest preacher.

The second greatest commandment is to “Love our neighbours as ourselves.” And we show this by the support we offer one another and the way we are there for one-another as a community.  Click here, or the picture below to join the Zoom gathering for Coffee After the Online Service on Sunday from 11am.  This will include the opportunity to discuss the themes in the sermon, (but only for those who wish to).If you need to enter them manually, the details for the Zoom meeting are: Meeting ID: 844 7123 3219 Passcode: 527776.
