A Church for All Generations… If you were in church last week – or if you’ve watched the service online (from approx 13mins), you will know that part of our vision is to Be a Church for All Generations.  A key part of this is building our sense of community.  As well as coming to church on Sundays, each week there are ways we can play our part, for example, by coming to the Jubilee Picnic on Saturday, or by joining in the Scarecrow competition (see below for details).

Diary Changes Next Week
Half Term: 30th May – 3rd June 2022

  • “The Ark” Parent-and-Toddler group will not be meeting on Wednesday. Sessions resume on Wednesday 8th June at 9.30am

After the very first Ascension Day the disciples gathered with Mary, devoting themselves to prayer while they waited for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ picks up this tradition and encourages us pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 friends.

ALL WELCOME!

Thank you for your generous donations to Christian Aid Week this year, when there are so many other calls on our finances and our emotions.  We hope to finalise the total for Christian Aid shortly, so if you still wish to make a donation to this year’s appeal, please return your envelope at Sunday’s service or to the church office.  Online donations can also still be made through https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/envelope/wct?channel=copy.

How are your plans for the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend coming along?  If your road is not having a street party – or even if it is – we encourage you to join us for a Picnic on Rectory Meadows on Saturday 4th June from midday to 4pm. There will be stalls and activities organised by the Parish Council.

On Sunday 5th June we will celebrate Pentecost (the Gift of the Holy Spirit to us all and the birth of the Church) at our 10am morning service and you are invited to join us for a Platinum Jubilee Evensong at 6pm.
