Palm Sunday – tomorrow – marks the start of Holy Week. Traditionally, Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with crowds present, shouting praises and waving palm branches. This year, join our livestreamed Palm Sunday service with the palm crosses you received in our latest mailing.

Throughout Holy Week, we invite you to remember the last week of Jesus’ life. Come to our services and join in the events below:

*** The latest change in rules from the Government and Church of England means congregational singing at Outdoor Services is now permitted.  Join us, a together once again we lift our voices to heaven on Easter Day at our two outdoor services! ***

Vaccine “Get one – Give one”
We would like to encourage all who have been offered a vaccination to take it as ‘none are safe until all are safe’. You may also consider giving a donation in thankfulness for our own vaccinations  so that either vaccines can be purchased for countries that need then or to support people living in communities that have been severely affected by the pandemic.

Vaccines – get one-give one
Those who wish to give can do so to:

  • The COVAX fund which is buying and delivering vaccines to countries around the world – you may have seen their first work taking place in Ghana recently. COVAX is being generously supported by the UK Government but individuals can contribute too here.
  • The United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF, is collecting here.
  • ‘Arm in Arm’, Celebrate, Donate, Vaccinate, is here
  • Christian Aid has an appeal for humanitarian relief in support of communities overseas affected by COVID that just don’t have the kind of social safety nets that we’re used here in the United Kingdom. Donations to their appeal can be made here.
