Save the date! – Parish BBQ on Sunday 4th September
Please continue to support the Community Larder!
Help us keep the larder stocked with fresh and store cupboard food.If donating fresh food please check ‘use by’ dates and that ingredients are listed. We will need regular top-ups over the summer holidays – please consider donating what you would like to see in your own fridge or larder that would contribute towards making a healthy meal. Items should be in original sealed packaging as we need to abide by health and safety regulations.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to donate financially then please make a card reader payment (in church) or online donation (click here). Please feel free to share the details with local WhatsApp groups or anyone else you think may like to donate.
Kimbilio – the next stage
Our Charity Partner the Congo Children’s Trust opened their primary school last year and already they are planning the next project! For years the day centre outreach to the hundreds of boys and girls living rough in the street markets has been run from the city’s cathedral. Kimbilio now have the opportunity to purchase a piece of land opposite, to build their very own permanent facility. A deposit has already been paid for the land, but they need another $30,000 to buy it. Today, 20th July, they are having a fundraising drive and any donation over £85 ($100) will receive matched funding! Even if you can’t manage £85, anything you can spare will help the children of Lubumbashi.
