Join us in St Helen’s Church for our All Age Communion Service at 10am. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

  • Dementia Awareness – Training to be a ‘dementia friend’. Thursday 24th October, 6.45pm for 7pm (until 8.3 pm) Lamer Room, Marford Memorial Hall, Wheathampstead Spaces still available.  Please contact Isobel 07949 630228 or email isobel.poole99@gmail.com  if you would like to attend.  It is an interactive event, covering some material to help you understand how it feels to live with dementia and how to support people with this disease.   Fiona Harrall is the presenter and we had excellent feedback from her presentation on 7th October.  Coffee/Tea on arrival.
Other Events in Harpenden suitable for people with dementia and their carers:
  • Memory Lane Cafe, Harpenden – you are welcome to attend this.  Details:  The Salvation Army, Leyton Green, Every Monday 2 pm to 3.30 pm.  Tea, chat and activities.
  • Intergenerational Choir (Dementia-friendly)  The Salvation Army, Leyton Green, Every Tuesday, 12.45 pm to 1.30 pm in term time.  An inclusive choir for all, regardless of ability – just turn up.

DIARY CHANGES
Half Term 28th October – 1st November 2024

  • Coffee in the Chancel is closed on Monday. Holiday opening hours on Tuesday and Saturday,10–11.30am.
  • ‘Following the Message’ group will not be meeting on Monday. Back in church at 11.15am on Monday 4th November
  • ‘The Ark’ Parent-and-Toddler group will not be meeting on Wednesday. Sessions resume on Wednesday 6th November at 9.30am, St Helen’s Church.
