This year, we are offering six, 90-minute weekly sessions of the excellent course “On Purpose” by the LICC (click here to find out more) during Lent. Over 40 days, we get to grips with the Bible’s view of purpose, and read true stories of how that purpose is worked out in all kinds of Christians’ lives today. Each week, we explore a different theme:
Purpose in work
Purpose in family
Purpose in friendship
Purpose in our interests
Purpose in our neighbourhoods
Finally, in Holy Week you’ll prepare for Easter with an examination of how Jesus reveals his true purpose in the days before his crucifixion. This journey comes with small group questions and videos to prompt discussion around each week’s theme. Please join us!
To sign up, please complete this online form or pick up a paper copy from the back pew in church.
World Day of Prayer
“I Made You Wonderful”
Psalm 139:14
Friday 7th March
10.30am, St Thomas More
Each one of us was made with care and love by God. This year, the World Day of Prayer focuses on how we receive this truth and learn how to treat every other person as made wonderful by God.
Your generous donation of Easter Eggs last year delighted the women helped by Azalea, our charity partner in Luton. Following that success, we are running the collection again this year! Can you buy an Easter egg to give to the women again? And if possible, add a short message of friendship and support Collection box in church from 1st March.

Message from Christine RE: Blister Packs
Collecting Blister Packs has been a great success- indeed too much of a success and the Green Hub I was taking them to in St Albans can’t cope with so many! However I have now discovered that Boots have recently started recycling them and has a box in their stores ( often near the pharmacy section) in St Albans, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City. You can also earn points on your boots card if you sign up to do the recycling.
Therefore, I would now ask that you don’t now leave them at the church if you are able to recycle your own. I am happy to take them at the church for those unable to access a boots but for the able bodied please use Boots!
Thanks Christine.
