Vacancy Prayer Themes for 30th October
  1. Please pray for regular attendance and a fresh commitment from the congregation. If people are unwell or away for a long time we pray for their health and speedy recovery.
  2. Please pray that we would have wisdom when reviewing the program of activities and commitments the church has. What is feasible and wise to do in this period.
  3. Please pray for good communication. People need to feel both informed and listened to. This includes the wider community not just the church.
  4. Please pray for how people are feeling, their emotions at this time of change. We want the soul of the church to stay healthy.
The usual Morning Prayer sessions will continue to run in church (Monday and Tuesday) and on Zoom (Monday – Wednesday).

Can you help?
Azalea needs 50 Christmas stockings so that they can give their guests gifts at their annual Christmas party.

If you are able to make some simple, but large, Christmas stockings, 60-70cm high and 25-30cm wide, in material of your choice, please let Pippa or Hilary know.

Message from Azalea
From our beginnings in a small Luton kitchen to expanding across Bedfordshire, Azalea’s story has always been one of courage, faith, and community. Together, we’ve walked alongside 585 survivors of sex trafficking — each one a story of resilience, hope, and new beginnings.

Now, we’d love to invite you to celebrate The Story So Far: Past, Present & Future — an evening to reflect on all that’s been achieved, enjoy time together, and look ahead with hope to what’s next.
Join us for a night of live music, a decadent buffet, a live auction, and inspiring stories of transformation.

Your presence means so much to us. Every ticket sold helps Azalea continue to bring freedom, restoration, and dignity to women across Bedfordshire.

Early Advent Course
A group of 10 parishioners from our three village churches are getting together on an Advent Course. We could take an extra couple of people but no more. If you would like to join the group, please contact Marie-Rose Low at  marie_rose.low@btinternet.com.

If we get more than a couple showing interest, you would need to organise yourselves into another group with leaders. Our course will run on 4 consecutive Mondays starting on 10th November (I know this isn’t Advent, but we chose to go early).
