Join us in St Helen’s Church for our All Age Communion Service at 10am. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

SAFEGUARDING SURVEY
So, it is important for us to have your feedback and opinions on how YOU experience the culture in our church community.
The link below will take you to a short, anonymous online survey.  It only take a few minutes (less than 5 minutes – honestly!), so why not do it NOW, before you get distracted!
At St Helen’s and St Peter’s we take Safeguarding very seriously – but we are aware there is always room for improvement.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed the survey – please only fill it in once!  (Paper copies are available in church)

Many thanks for your help with this.  The Safeguarding Team
Richard Banham, Helen Caldwell, Britt Dahle, Jez Hirst, Sabrina Shafer.

Youth Group Fundraising Challenge
Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Youth Group’s Choose to Lose challenge.
For committing to give up their comfy beds for 2 nights, some of our youth group, in partnership with the youth from St Mark’s Church, Colney Heath, have so far raised £503 for the charity Open Doors UK.

The sleepover, held last Friday, was an excellent night (and we even got some sleep!) where amongst the fun, food and games, we learned about the highly traumatic experience of those Christians who are targeted by their communities, police and government for following Jesus.  We participated in an Open Doors Secret Church exercise, imagining what it would be like for our church to be raided.  One of our young people said “The sleepover was loads of fun but learning the stuff about the persecuted church was quite eye-opening.”

If you still want to support this fundraiser for Open Doors UK, the fundraising page will be available until Tuesday 26th November.  Click here for more details on how to give.

Help! Enthusiastic Singers needed to Spread Christmas Cheer

We need your help!  There are several members of our congregation and wider community who are housebound and would be greatly cheered by a brief visit from Carol Singers. So, please come and join us on Tuesday 17th December starting at 5pm as we travel round the village spreading joy as we go.

We will meet at MacIntyre Home on the High Street. For our planning it will be important to know numbers, so please click here if you can help and we will send you further details.

Remember, you don’t need to be a great singer – we are looking for cheerful and enthusiastic!

Advent Quiet Day
In the run up top Christmas most of us would benefit from a few hours of quiet to pray and reflect.  Join us for a creative mix of soul nourishing input, followed by a hearty and warming soup. Lifts are available. Please click this link to sign up, or call Mel on 01582 834031.
