DEANERY ADVENT QUIET DAY
Saturday, 2nd December, 10am to 1pm
St Mary’s, Kinsbourne Green
Join with others across the Deanery for an Advent themed quiet day. Input from a speaker, time for quiet and reflection, (if weather is good, space to wander around the Common), light soup lunch to end the morning. Please contact Barbara if you would like to attend. You may recall that last Christmas we bought into the charity ‘Christmas Lunch on Jesus’ (CLOJ) and delivered Christmas lunch hampers to 20 local families a few days before Christmas Day.
We will be doing the same this year and already have 20 families who we will be gifting these to and delivering on Sat 23rd Dec. If you or anyone you know, needs a little extra help with food at the moment, then please confidentially let Richard or Helen Caldwell (07974 762997) know.
Each hamper costs £30/£35 (depending on when we order them) so if you would like to buy a family in need Christmas dinner, then please make a donation to the St Helen’s Community Fund by clicking here.Donations can also be made by cash, or debit/credit card using the contactless device in church.
We also would love it if 10-20 members of the St Helen’s family would be able to deliver one or two hampers around Wheathampstead on Sat 23rd Dec – many hands make light work! Please let Helen know if you would like to volunteer.
We also hope to partner with the Harpenden Hygiene Bank and deliver appropriate toiletries when delivering the hamper – if anyone is interested in helping out with this then please also let Helen know.

MEN AND WOMEN welcome at St Helen’s Fellowship! Programme below. Unless otherwise stated all meetings are held in The Mead Hall between 2.45 and 4.15 pm. The cost is £2 per week and 50p for transport if required. Anyone who would appreciate a lift to meetings, please ring Gill Gwinn who will be able to tell you if we can help with this. Thanks.
