“Our Daily Bread” – a new initiative to build our faith
Choral Scholarships – Open for application!
Mossy Church – 3rd July
Introducing our churchwardens!
Our Churchwardens after the recent Visitation Service where they were Sworn into Office by the Archdeacon, from left to right: David Hartley, Helen Caldwell and Keith Andrews, with the Revd Richard Banham.
During the 10am service at St Helen’s, our prayer initiative called “Our Daily Bread” continued with David Perch who talked about the church prayer calendar (click hereto download).
In the next few months there will be regular opportunities to hear from different members of our congregations about the faith habits or “daily bread” which sustain them on their Christian journey. We hope that hearing a wide variety of different ways of engaging with God will feed us all and fuel our spiritual growth.
Do you have something you could share? Watch this space for more info in future emails.
Do you know a young person who loves singing?
If so, tell them about our Choral Scholarship scheme. We have a mixed voice choir which sings every week at the Parish Eucharist and once a month at Choral Evensong. We currently have Choral Scholar vacancies for school pupils in years 10 to 13, to start in September. Details can be found on our website. To download an application form, click here. Simon Pusey, our Director of Music would be delighted to answer any questions by email or phone – simon.pusey@ntlworld.com or 07973 453222. He would also like to hear from anyone of any age interested in joining our choir, whether as a Choral Scholar or other member.
