Safeguarding Sunday
On 23rd April at our 10am service – we will be marking Safeguarding Sunday. This is an annual awareness-raising campaign coordinated by Thirtyone:eight, an Independent Christian Safeguarding charity, to help churches across the UK share what they’re doing to make their places of worship safer for everyone. The theme is ‘One church, one day, one message’. As part of the event, we’ll be exploring how safeguarding is a demonstration of our Christian faith. We’ll talk about the safeguarding arrangements our church has in place, and we’ll be thanking the people involved in making this happen. This will be done in an all-age appropriate way using the resources produced by Thirtyone:eight.

If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link or click here to view from our website.

Safeguarding Sunday is one part of our ongoing commitment to making our church safer. If this raises any questions or concerns for you, we have named individuals that you can talk to:  Helen Caldwell, Britt Dahle, Jez Hirst and Rev’d Richard Banham. Alternatively Thirtyone:eight operates a confidential independent safeguarding Helpline, which you can call Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm on 0303 003 11 11.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
