SUNDAY’S SERVICES

Join us in St Helen’s Church for a “Christian Aid” special at our All Age Communion Service at 10am.  If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

Join us for another of our popular Mossy Church services at St Peter’s at 3.30pm. This time we ‘consider the lilies of the field’. Please dress for the weather, as we will will be outside.

All welcome of all ages. Come and worship God outside in nature with craft and collecting activities.

Special Meeting of Parishioners

A Special Meeting of Parishioners has been convened for Sunday 28 th May at St.
Helen’s Church after the 10:00 am Communion Service (approx. 11:05 am). The
single agenda item will be the Election of Churchwardens.

This year Christian Aid Week focuses on Malawi, where Christian Aid is helping communities to grow pigeon peas for food and for income.  Pigeon peas are a hardy, drought-resistant crop, coping with climate change.  Please support this and other worthwhile projects by donating on-line here or by picking up a traditional envelope from the back of the church and returning it to St Helen’s.  For enquiries please contact Simon Best by email or on 07786 704353.

Thy Kingdom Come is all about praying for people to come to know the amazing, life-transforming love of Jesus. We are encouraging everyone to choose 5 people they know, and to pray for them.

Why not watch this video from The Rt Revd Dr John Sentamu as he encourages us to pray for 5.

BOOK TALK
If you enjoy talking about books you might read or have read, then the following group might suit you.

On the fourth Monday of each month at 9.45am until 11.15am at Coffee in the Chancel, you are invited to join others over a cup of coffee to chat and share your reading experiences. This will be fairly informal and you can drop in and out as you wish.

The next occasion will be on Monday 22nd May. We look forward to seeing you there.

CELEBRATE PENTECOST AT ST HELEN’S CHURCH!
Join us NEXT WEEK  at our 10am Pentecost Service on Sunday 28th May 2023 and stay for brunch as we celebrate the birthday of the church. We’re offering sausage baps, pastries, muffins and fruit with the usual tea and coffee after the service. Everyone is invited!
If you can help cook or serve, please email Richard.
