LENT COURSE 2025
This year, we are offering six, 90-minute weekly sessions of the excellent course “On Purpose” by the LICC (click here to find out more) during Lent. Over 40 days, we get to grips with the Bible’s view of purpose, and read true stories of how that purpose is worked out in all kinds of Christians’ lives today. Each week, we explore a different theme:
  1. Purpose in work
  2. Purpose in family
  3. Purpose in friendship
  4. Purpose in our interests
  5. Purpose in our neighbourhoods

Finally, in Holy Week you’ll prepare for Easter with an examination of how Jesus reveals his true purpose in the days before his crucifixion. This journey comes with small group questions and videos to prompt discussion around each week’s theme. Please join us!

To sign up, please complete this form and return it to the church office or call 01582 834031.

World Day of Prayer

“I Made You Wonderful”

Psalm 139:14

Friday 7th March
10.30am, St Thomas More

Each one of us was made with care and love by God. When we can receive this profound truth, everything in our life changes and we begin to radiate and shine from within. We also learn how to treat every other person as made wonderful by God. Too often, women and girls have been silenced and oppressed, making this upcoming theme from WDP Cook Islands particularly relevant. The message that we, as women and girls, are “fearfully and wonderfully” made in the image of God reinforces our movement’s support of women in expressing their faith and speaking about their lives in prayer and worship before God and in community.
