“Our Daily Bread” – a new initiative to build our faith
Join us in St Helen’s Church for our All Age Communion Service at 10am as we continue to look at Jesus’ I AM sayings in John’s Gospel. This month Barbara is exploring John 15 – I AM the vine. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online. Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link or click here to view from our website.
Join us in St Helen’s at 3.30pm for fun, informal worship with songs, stories and craft. Especially suitable for primary age children and smaller siblings, but all are welcome.
Refreshments in the Chancel before the service.
During the 10am service at St Helen’s, our prayer initiative called “Our Daily Bread” continues with David Perch who will talk about the church prayer calendar (printed copies available in church on Sunday).
In the next few months there will be regular opportunities to hear from different members of our congregations about the faith habits or “daily bread” which sustain them on their Christian journey. We hope that hearing a wide variety of different ways of engaging with God will feed us all and fuel our spiritual growth.
Do you have something you could share? Come and find out more tomorrow, or watch this space for more info in future emails.
Do you know a young person who loves singing?
If so, tell them about our Choral Scholarship scheme. We have a mixed voice choir which sings every week at the Parish Eucharist and once a month at Choral Evensong. We currently have Choral Scholar vacancies for school pupils in years 10 to 13, to start in September. Details can be found on our flyer. Simon Pusey, our Director of Music would be delighted to answer any questions by email or phone – simon.pusey@ntlworld.com or 07973 453222. He would also like to hear from anyone of any age interested in joining our choir, whether as a Choral Scholar or other member.
