Harvest Celebration
Join us in St Helen’s Church for our Parish CommunionService at 10am. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online. Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.
Join us at Kids Worship – 3.30pm in St Helen’s Church. Fun, informal worship with songs, stories and craft. Especially suitable for primary age children and smaller siblings, but all are welcome. Before the service we have refreshments and craft activities in the Chancel.
In this Season of Creation, doing your carbon footprint calculation is a good way to look at our own contribution to the climate changes influenced by our human activity. It can be fun, thought provoking and challenging so choose on ( or more – its interesting to do more than one) of the links below and have a go!

FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Would you like to have fun with Bible stories?
I’m looking for a few more people to help with our work at St Helen’s school:
Wednesdays
A group of us go in every Wednesday, 2.40-3.20pm to lead the very popular “Open the Bible” assemblies. If you would be happy to “stage manage” a few child volunteers acting out the story or just to read the story in a clear voice, this could be for you. It’s great fun and you don’t need to commit every week as there is a rota to support me or Richard.
Thursdays
On Thursdays I run a lovely afterschool club for 5-9 year olds. I read a story and then we do a very simple craft for about 10 minutes. I really need someone to set out the craft things on the table while I’m telling the story. The club runs 3.15-4.15 for about 6 weeks each term. Last year I had 14 children.
If you are interested in either “opportunity” do come and chat to me – it’s really good fun and very rewarding and a lovely way to develop the link with the school.
As we take safeguarding very seriously in the Parish, you will need to follow the safer recruiting process for volunteers and may need to apply for a DBS check
