Singers Needed!

For our Carols by Candlelight service at 7.00pm on December 17th at St Helen’s we are getting together a choir to lead the singing. Do you sing in a choir and would like to add the harmonies, do you like singing the descants, or do you just enjoy singing carols? All welcome, all ages, Year 5 upwards. Please email Linda 58linda.thomas@gmail.com if you would like to join us

Gingerbread Angels / Stars
Before the pandemic we had a tradition of visiting all the businesses in the High Street and offering best wishes for Christmas in the form of a gingerbread angel or  star gift. We would like to do this again on Tuesday 19 December.

We need people to make gingerbread angels or stars please (Hilary has recipe and cutters if needed). We also then need people to visit and give away the biscuits! It is a lovely thing to do! So if you are free to help at 10am on the 19th for about an hour please let Mel or Hilary (07712791625) know.

Warm Coat Scheme
The Wheathampstead Community Group is running from the foyer of the Memorial Hall, starting Monday 4th Dec  and continuing through December and January, depending on supply and demand. Good quality warm coats for men, women and children are available if you need them.

If you would like to donate your surplus coats, please drop off at the Memorial Hall. Swapping is not necessary.

The WCG would also like to invite everyone to their Christmas Sing-a-long on Thursday 14th of December at 7:30 in the Memorial Hall.

Thank you for your generous donations towards a Christmas lunch for local families.

We would love for 10-20 members of the St Helen’s family to deliver one or two hampers around Wheathampstead on Sat 23rd Dec – many hands make light work!  Please let Helen (07974 762997) know if you would like to volunteer.
