Heaven to Earth
This Sunday, March 10th, as well as being Mothering Sunday is Woman Composer Sunday. Launched in 2021 by the Royal School of Church Music, this annual celebration of women composers occurs on the Sunday closest to International Women’s Day. One of the RSCM’s best-selling composers happens to be local resident and mother of our wonderful organist Harry, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange. She has recently released Heaven to Earth, an album of her church choral music, on the SIGNUM record label. Recorded by the professional choir London Voices, the album’s track-listing includes our very own St Helen’s Service. To mark Woman Composer Sunday, we have invited Joanna to introduce her album to Sunday morning’s congregation and to sell CDs after the service (Cash or card: £12 each or two for £20). Joanna has said she’d be happy to autograph CDs if you would like her to do so!

St Helen’s Singers
Do you enjoy singing? Come and help to support the singing for our Easter Sunday service.  We will run through the planned hymns and rehearse a simple anthem in a couple of parts. All welcome, you don’t need to be experienced in singing in parts although reading music will be an advantage.  Debs Wilson will run rehearsals at St Helen’s at 7pm on Thursday14th and Wednesday 20th March with another short rehearsal to be arranged just before Easter. All welcome, age 9-99!. Please email Linda (58linda.thomas@gmail.com) to let us know you are coming.

MOSSY CHURCH
Join us for another of our popular Mossy Church services at St Peter’s at 3.30pm on Sunday 17th March. This time we celebrate St Patrick. Please dress for the weather, as we will will be outside.

All welcome of all ages. Come and worship God outside in nature with craft and collecting activities.
