Wheathampstead Churches Together is pleased to offer a choice of 2 Lent courses this year – the Prayer Course and the Christian Aid Course.
The Prayer Course is a journey using the Lord’s Prayer as the centre of our meditations as we approach Holy Week and Easter. Each session includes a video, small group discussion and practical ideas for prayer. The resource “How to Pray” by Pete Greig can be downloaded free from here.
The Christian Aid Course explores Lenten themes (repentance, sacrifice, redemption, reparation and restoration) with bible readings, stories and prayers to stir up ideas of how we can act together for climate justice. Click here for more information.
Both courses will begin after Ash Wednesday (22nd February) and will end before Easter (9th April). Complete this form and return to St Helen’s Church Office.

A big Thank You to the many people who donated so generously to the Energy Fund. So far we have received nearly £5,500 in donations and most of these included gift aid which takes the total up to £6,700. We really do appreciate every donation, both large and small, especially at this time when as individuals we are all facing increased costs.
The Energy Fund will help us continue to minister and maintain St Helen’s Church as a warm and vibrant hub at the heart of our community.
We are expecting the cost to increase by more than £12,000 this year.
The fund remains open and further donations can be made via the contactless card reader in church, or by clicking on this linkEnergy Fund, or by a bank transfer – account details availablehere. If you would like to gift aid your bank transfer donation, please contact our treasurer, Madeleine
We are still collecting your ink cartridges!
If you have ink cartridges lying around at home and would like a quick and easy way to recycle them, bring them to St Helen’s Church!
Do your bit to save the planet – just pop them into the box in the Chancel.
*Please note: we can only recycle ink cartridges, not laser or toner cartridges
