Energy Fund Appeal

Many thanks to those who have already responded to the appeal for funds to help cover the dramatically increased costs of our energy bills.  In the first 48 hours, over £1,500 has been raised towards the increase of over £10,000.  This will enable us to continue our different ministries and to offer a warm welcome to our churches, including at Coffee in the Chancel which provides a warm space during the week.

If you missed the appeal you can find full details here. Or, click here to donate online.

God bless you,
Richard & Helen.

A huge thank you from the Kimbilio Project to those who made donations on the matched giving day earlier this week. An amazing $34,111.00 was raised, which enables them to complete the purchase on the land, plan and prepare the land for construction of the new Day Centre!

HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT SCHEME
St Albans City and District Council have been given funding by Hertfordshire CC to distribute to individuals and families who require additional support with food and fuel costs. Please click here to email Helen or Richard if you would like to refer individuals and families for support. The following groups will be prioritised but you can refer anyone to us if you feel they require help. They do not have to be claiming state benefits to be entitled to help from the household support fund.

  • Families and individuals recently placed in temporary accommodation.
  • Families and individuals on a low income who have recently moved into new accommodation and who require basic essentials as a result.
  • Individuals who have recently left prison or a long term hospital stay.
  • Individuals who have no recourse to public funds.
  • People on zero hour contracts who are suffering a reduction in their hours and income.
  • Individuals and families who are waiting for a decision on a benefit application.
  • Individuals and families whose benefits have been ‘capped’ or sanctioned.
  • Individuals and families who have additional expenses, especially high energy costs, due to an illness, disability or mental health condition.
  • Individuals and families on a low income where an essential appliance has failed which they cannot afford to repair or replace.
  • Individuals and families fleeing domestic violence or who have been the victim of a crime.
  • Individuals and families who are entitled to state benefits but who have not received payments from previously announced energy support schemes.
  • Individuals and families on a low income who are in severe debt, especially those in arrears with their energy suppliers.
  • Individuals or families who have not previously received help from the Household Support fund.
