Further to Wednesday’s email, which is repeated below, here is the link to access the livestream service on Sunday from 9:55am: https://youtu.be/HkEBBABjMqA
PLEASE NOTE:
We have decided that while we are in Tier 4, St Helen’s church will not be open for communal worship. Instead we will live-stream our 10am Sunday services from church with only essential personnel in the building. Please do not come into church on Sunday morning until further notice.
We hope you will be able to join us online to celebrate Epiphany together.
There will be a zoom coffee meeting after the service – please bring your own coffee! Remember that Coffee NOT in the Chancel is on every Wednesday from 10:30am.
Click on the Meeting ID and password to join either session.
We hope you have had the very best Christmas possible, given the challenging circumstances and were able to celebrate the birth of Christ in your own way – in church or by joining in with online, radio or television worship.
Unfortunately a member of the St Helen’s team has tested positive for COVID-19. Happily that individual reports only mild symptoms at the moment. However, as a result a number of us are required to self-isolate until Monday 4th January. This, coupled with the continued rise of cases in Wheathampstead, has caused us to re-evaluate our pattern of worship while we are in Tier 4.

Our priority is the safety and well-being of the whole community, but especially our congregation and team members. Please be assured that this is not a decision we have taken lightly, but following extensive consultation around the team and with the permission of the Archdeacon.
St Helen’s church will continue to be open everyday between 10am and 3pm (except Sunday’s between 9am and 11am) for private prayer. Please use the hand sanitisers and wear a mask when in church.
The usual email will be sent out on Saturday evening with details of how you can watch the online Epiphany service at 10am this Sunday.
Thank you very much for your support of this decision and for your help as we seek together to offer the most creative worship, to the broadest range of people, safely and within the resources available to us.
God bless you,
Richard & Helen
Rector & Churchwarden
