Vacancy News
The advertisement for a Rector to fill our vacancy went live this week in the Church Times (print and online) and will run for four weeks. Applications close on 5th November.
The advertisement and our Parish Profile can also be viewed here.
We are very grateful to Mike and Victoria Bryant at St Albans High School for Girls Prep for their generous assistance in designing and laying out the Profile.
Please pray for all those who look at and consider our advertisement.
Please pray for our relationship with the Diocese and Deanery. We need their support during this time. We also need them to provide us wisdom in appointing a new rector.
Please pray for the wider community of Wheathampstead especially St Helen’s school that our relationship with them continues to grow and flourish.
Please pray for the appointment of the new Rector. For wisdom in choosing the right person, someone who is focussed on the vision and mission of our church.
Please pray that God continues to bless not only our church and it’s new Rector but Richard and Claire in their new ministry.
The usual Morning Prayer sessions will continue to run in church (Monday and Tuesday) and on Zoom (Monday – Wednesday).
Ink Cartridge Recycling
Do continue to bring in your ink cartridges to St Helen’s Church! Your support has helped raise more than £500 for church.
Do your bit to save the planet – just pop them into the box in the Chancel.
*Please note: we can only recycle ink cartridges, not laser or toner cartridges
Anne’s Camino Adventure
Many of you will know that Anne Hollis is taking nearly 7 weeks to walk part of a pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. By clicking on the link below you can follow her route and see photos that she posts each day. Next week we’ll ask her to give us a short summary of her experiences so far.
MEN AND WOMEN welcome at St Helen’s Fellowship! Programme below. Unless otherwise stated all meetings are held in The Mead Hall between 2.45 and 4.15 pm. The cost is £2 per week. Anyone who would appreciate a lift to meetings, please ring Gill Gwinn who will be able to tell you if we can help with this. Thanks.
