NO KIDS WORSHIP SERVICE ON SUNDAY!
Ginny has organised what promises to be a lovely evening of fashion, style and shopping, all topped off with a glass of fizz, at The Chapel Halls. There will be a fashion show from Lou Murphy Styles (branded and designer pre-loved clothes), with commentary and styling tips from Ali Suss-Franksen, from Forever Cinderella.  There will also be shopping opportunities of jewellery from Wendy Jones, Tropic make up and skincare and a candle stall.  Scan the QR code or click on the link to purchase a ticket.  All proceeds will go to the Building Project.
THANK YOU FROM JUDITH!

On Saturday, 10th October I completed my challenge of walking 10k in memory of our beloved granddaughter Georgia who died 10 years ago, she would now be 22.

It was in every respect a beautiful day, not only the weather but how the day enfolded. Members of the congregation walked with me on the 5 two kilometre circuits and in between we returned to base, home, for refreshments and a time of prayer and meditation. Bill did the final circuit on his buggy with me along with our two daughters, Jane and Katherine. We finished in the Crinkle Crankle Garden with bubbles and more friends,

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who so kindly and generously donated to Neuroblastoma, the childhood cancer from which Georgia died. I feel that the money I have raised will have an impact into research into this devastating disease so that the Georgia’s of the future might have a future. If you’d like to make a donation, please go to:

At this service, you can light a candle for your loved one and request for their name to appear on screen as the candles are lit. Please add the names of the friends and relatives that you’d like remembered at the service by clicking this link.  Alternatively, you can phone the church office on 01582 834031 to add a name.
Our Building Project Appeal – Update

We have had a wonderful start to the fundraising to build an extension with modern toilets and baby-change, and a new level access entrance at the West Door.

After the first two weeks of the appeal it has already raised £118,000, more than a third of the target of around £320,000.  We had over £28,000 of legacies and donations before the appeal launched.  The first two weeks brought generous donations of £39,000 with an additional £9,000 in Gift Aid; in addition there were pledges to donate a further £40,000.

A big thank you for the generous donations so far.  Donations can still be made
  • up to £100 online, via the contactless device in St Helen’s or by scanning the QR code below
  • over £100 by bank transfer to Wheathampstead PCC, sort code 40-52-40, account  00099644, ref: Building Project
Gift Aid forms are available in church or can be requested from whtpcctreasurer@gmail.com.
Were you around back in August 2013?

Did you possibly take any photos of the day when the village turned out to pant the mural boards for The Swan?

Fiona Duggett is putting together an information board for these – but we cannot trace any pics (everyone was too busy painting?)

If you have any photo it would be very much appreciated! Msg Gill Gwinn and she will pass this on to Fiona (gwinngill@gmail.com).

Thanks!
