SUNDAY SERVICES

Join us in St Helen’s Church for our Parish Communion Service at 10am. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

Join us at Kids Worship – 3.30pm in St Helen’s Church. Fun, informal worship with songs, stories and craft. Especially suitable for primary age children and smaller siblings, but all are welcome. We start with refreshments and crafts  activities in the Chancel.

PHOTO SHOOT IN CHURCH THIS SUNDAY!

We have invited Ian and Emma Scott, two professional photographers from the village to come and take some photos during our 10am and 3:30pm services on Sunday 1st June.  The photos will be used on our new website (due to go live later this year) and other printed publicity material in the future. Whilst we are especially keen to have photos of children and families, we hope everyone will be willing to be included in the photos.  Rest assured, we will provide an area in church where you can be safely out of sight of the cameras.  If you have any questions, please speak to Richard before the service.
After the 10am service on Sunday 8th June, there will be a Cake Sale to raise funds towards taking some of St Helen’s Youth Group to the Satellites Summer Event in Shepton Mallet.  We would be incredibly grateful for contributions of cakes to add to the Sale (both small, to be eaten straight away, and large, to be taken home) AND for generous donations on the day, in return for yummy cake!
Please let Claire know (claire@thehaven.uk) if you can provide Cake.
Re-ordering Proposals for St Helen’s Church

We hope you have had a chance to look at the Presentation on display in the Chancel of the Re-ordering Proposals for St Helen’s Church. These Proposals will enable our Vision as we strive to address our needs to render our St. Helen’s church building a truly vibrant hub at the heart of our community with buildings fit for God’s mission in 21st century Wheathampstead.

The display will be taken down on Monday 2nd June so do take a look BEFORE MONDAY if you haven’t already. We welcome your comments and would like to thank those who have already shared their feedback.

Everyone is invited to a short presentation followed by refreshments at 2.15pm in St Helen’s Church on Thursday June 5th. Over the last academic year, Year 6 at St Helen’s school have been following a new programme taught by Linda alongside one of the team from St Albans Diocese. The Alban Way has introduced them to different tools to help them be more resilient and has given them an opportunity to think about their spiritual development. The children would love to tell about what they have learnt and how they think it has helped them. All welcome, do join us.

Vacancy Prayer Themes for 5th June
  1. Please pray that the church remains forward focusing, that current projects and outreach receive support especially for families and children.
  2. Please pray for the leaders of our Sunday morning worship and all those who hold meetings. May God bless us with quality and continuity so that the church feels fed and supported.
  3. Please pray for the Pastoral care in the church. That people feel connected and cared for. Pray for the building of new relationships and friendships at this time.
