SUNDAY’S SERVICES

Join us in St Helen’s Church for our Parish Communion Service at 10am on the third Sunday of Advent. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the YouTube link.

Join us at Kids Worship – 3.30pm in St Helen’s Church. Fun, informal worship with songs, stories and craft. Especially suitable for primary age children and smaller siblings, but all are welcome. Before the service we have refreshments and craft activities in the Chancel.

Memorial Service for the late
Mr Brian William Pearce
1936 – 2024

We are sad to share the news that Brian passed away last month. Please join us for a his memorial service on Sunday 15th December at 12.30pm in St Helen’s Church. This service will also be livestreamed – please click on this link or the image above.

You may recall that last Christmas we bought into the charity ‘Christmas Lunch on Jesus’ (CLOJ) and delivered Christmas lunch hampers to local families a few days before Christmas Day.

We will be doing the same this year and already have 20 families who we will be gifting these to and delivering the afternoon of Sat 21st Dec. If you or anyone you know, needs a little extra help with food at the moment, then please confidentially let Richard or Helen Caldwell (07974 762997) know.

Each hamper costs £35 so if you would like to buy a family in need Christmas dinner, then please make a donation to the St Helen’s Community Fund by clicking here. Donations can also be made by cash, or debit/credit card using the contactless device in church.

We also would love it if 10-20 members of the St Helen’s family would be able to deliver one or two hampers around Wheathampstead on Sat 21st Dec and spread the Christmas cheer – many hands make light work!  Please let Helen know if you would like to volunteer.

In the UK, we send enough Christmas cards that if we placed them alongside each other, they’d cover the world’s circumference 500 times. As an eco-church, St Helen’s aims to save trees by offering a central point where congregation members can send one Christmas card to everyone else. All are welcome to add a Christmas message to friends and family to the noticeboard in the chancel.

HELP WITH REFRESHMENTS
AFTER CHRISTMAS SERVICE
On Christmas morning, we have a joyful service which appeals to all ages. After the service we like to serve coffee and refreshments, but we need some volunteers to make and serve this. Could you help? If so please contact Mel 01582 834031 or email office@sth-stp.org
