Vision Meals
What are these Vision Meals all about?
Have you ever sat in church and thought if we are the family of God then these are my brothers and sisters – do I actually know them that well? Or thought of staying to coffee but changed your mind because you are not sure who to talk to? Or maybe you have heard that the church is really struggling to find anyone who can do desktop publishing , which you enjoy, but you are not sure whether to, or indeed how, to volunteer?
Well you are not alone in this and that is why we are setting up out vision meals. We want everyone, young and not so young, ladies and gents, to have a chance to get to know each other and build new friendships, and to develop our church family.
Our plan is that within the next few months, everyone who is involved with St Helen’s and ST Peter’s Churches will be invited to a simple meal at a house not far from where they live. There will hopefully be some people you do know, and some you don’t. The meals will be at various times – lunchtimes and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Richard (and sometimes Claire) will be there so there is the chance to discuss how you feel the church is developing and share your ideas and thoughts on what we can all do to help.
We hope everyone will want to be involved. We are using the electoral roll as the basis for invitation so if you know you are not on that and would like to be invited (and we hope you will) please help us by putting your name and address on the board at the back of the church – or if you prefer email it to Hilary, hj.hollick@virginmedia .com and we will ensure you are on the list. If we don’t get in touch with you, please get in touch with us as we would love everyone to be involved and it should be lots of fun!
