Church is not just for Sundays: you are very welcome to visit us throughout the week. St. Helen’s church is a hive of activity every day and there are other church activities in St Peter’s church, and in our homes, throughout the week. Please check our calendar for the latest updates and have a look at our groups page for a guide to some of the smaller groups who meet during the week.

 

Monday 9 – 11.30am Coffee in the Chancel. With the Story Lady for an informal session of pre-school story-time from 9-9.30am, term time only

 

9.05 – 9.30am Morning Prayer. Spoken service which includes prayer, psalms and bible reading in the Lady Chapel or choir stalls

 

8 – 9.15pm Bell Ringing Practice. Wheathampstead Bell-Ringers practise every Monday evening and welcome new ringers, both experts and beginners, young or old, regulars or visitors  

 

 

 

Tuesday 9 – 11.30am Coffee in the Chancel. With the Knitting Group from 10-11.30am, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday

 

9.05 – 9.30am Morning Prayer. Spoken service which includes prayer, psalms and bible reading in the Lady Chapel

 

 

 

Wednesday 9 – 11.30am Coffee in the Chancel. With The Ark Parent and Toddler Group from 9.30-11.30am in the Lady Chapel

 

9.05 – 9.30am Morning Prayer. Spoken service which includes prayer, psalms and bible reading in the choir stalls

 

11.30am – 12.30pm Word Live. A Bible study group with lively discussion, following the Scripture Union “Word Live” website.

 

 

 

 

Thursday 9.05 – 9.30am Morning Prayer. Spoken service which includes prayer, psalms and bible reading in the Lady Chapel

 

 

 

Friday 7 – 7.30am Morning Prayer. Spoken service which includes prayer, psalms and bible reading in the Lady Chapel

 

9 – 11am Cleaning & Flowers.

Choir Practice. Our enthusiastic and proficient four-part all-age choir practises for an hour every Thursday, led by our organist and choir trainer. New members always welcome

 

 

 

Saturday 9 – 9.30am Celtic Morning Prayer. 

 

9 – 11.30am Coffee in the Chancel.  The usual range of refreshments will be offered, with the addition of breakfast pastries and toast
