How are your plans for the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend coming along?  If your road is not having a street party – or even if it is – we encourage you to join us for a Picnic on Rectory Meadows on Saturday 4th June from midday to 4pm. There will be stalls and activities organised by the Parish Council.

On Sunday 5th June we will celebrate Pentecost (the Gift of the Holy Spirit to us all and the birth of the Church) at our 10am morning service and you are invited to join us for a Platinum Jubilee Evensong at 6pm.

SUNDAY SERVICES

Join us in St Helen’s Church for our All Age Communion Service at 10am as we mark the start of Christian Aid week with a special service. If you can’t join us in church, please join us online.  Click here or on the image above for the Youtube link or click here to view from our website.

Kids Worship

Join us in St Helen’s at 3.30pm for fun, informal worship with songs, stories and craft. Especially suitable for primary age children and smaller siblings, but all are welcome.

Refreshments in the Chancel before the service.

Christian Aid Week

You are invited to support Christian Aid Week’s annual appeal to help drought-stricken families grow their own food.

You can donate online here to give to our local collection or pick up a traditional red envelope from the back of the church if you prefer to give by cash or cheque. Please return envelopes in the weekly collection or to the Parish Office.

All welcome to this free concert in support of Ukrainians – there will be a retiring collection and donations will go to the DEC (Disaster Emergency Committee)

Organised by Claire Partington, with a collection of classical and contemporary music performed by her young musicians.

Refreshments afterwards provided by Loafing Bakery.

All are warmly invited to the
Ascension Day Service, Thursday, 26th May, 8pm.
at St Nicholas Church, Harpenden
Please join together with members of other local churches. Bishop Michael of Hertford will be preaching. We say thank you to Richard Banham for being Rural Dean. Dennis Stamps is installed as the new Rural Dean, and Jo Burke is installed as the Assistant Rural Dean.
